Little Gypsies

Over at "A Vintage Affair" Septembers Challenge is to use VINTAGE LACE or Vintage Flowers on your layout

My best buds Dad has a small holding and sittting on the land is this miniature Gypsy Caravan........it is so cute...how I would love to have a garden big enough for this.....I'd buy it off him and scrub the paint work until it sang!!

The large white flower is a Vintage 50's bridesmaids headpiece from grannys trunk...seconded about 4 years ago for Georgias dressing up box and last week seconded again for my stash!!

I spied these flowers at Tillys and knew the large brown centres would be perfect for this layout. So I went all out for the rustic look, not bothered about jagged edges on the fences....nope...I'm trying really hard to be casual!! (She says with hands tied behind her back!!) I even kept on saying to myself go-on just glue it down what will be will be!!

The lace is also from the same trunk and was part of a wedding veil or communion outfit or similar.......now completely wrecked and very fragile I use it to place behind my layouts when photographing them, but after some tore off it....I kept if for gluing to the layout
I must go back and get some more photos of this.......it's full of character......imagine the long ruffled skirts she could wear!!

Love and lace

Ruth this is fantastic. Love the distressing on the background and the use of the vintage lace and flowers - a perfect use for them to be made special again. Also like the scrabble like letters - you are so inspiring to all.
