I started to make this layout before I had chosen the photos and then I came across these 2 old photos of my oldest brother and sister (Hello Sarah and Alex if you're reading this!!). The colours were just right. Alex is wearing a little shirt covered in Sailing boats and anchors. It is so cute!!
(click on photo to see the shirt details)
This little metal spade and bucket ornament was blue, so I painted it with nail varnish to change the colour. I didn't change the spade although looking at it here I wish I had, the original pink coating is badly done!!
More papermania chipboard painted and covered to match. The button is from grannies button jar (now mine!!) and matches the little sailing boats on my brothers shirt!! How cool is that!!
Droplets of glossy accents on my new prima flowers to freshen the page up a bit.

Where do you get your inspiration from? Your pages are just fantastic! So fresh and they really do have the 'WOW' factor.
Thank you for the blog comments - I might suggest pole dancing at my next WI meeting as a way to raise funds but somehow I feel that arthritis might get in the way LOL.
Hi Ruth, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for ya, but your work speakd for itself!!!! This LO is a perfect example!!! Your pics are lovely, this whole LO has such a wholesome crisp freshness about it!! (Sounds like cereal:):):)LOL!!
Really, though, I love this! The spade and bucket- so cute, and the button to match his shirt---- it doesn't get any better!!! Perfect 10 my friend!!!!!
Hugs

Fantastic layout, lucky you to have a grandmother who hoarded (sp?) as well, as the button works perfect!!!!
Love the flowers and the corner stamp!!!

I'm loving your 'scorched' paper edges.
I wonder if that button came of the shirt in the photo? It seems such a co-incidence that it should match so well.
I think the spade looking as if the paint has worn off is good because that's how a child's spade would be if much used.
Lovely layout, lots of elements but they are in harmony and it doesn't look contrived at all.
