I am getting started early this year with my Christmas Daily Diary are you going to join me this is sooooo easy and so Bubbly Funky!! Love and preparation Ruth xxx
All you need is Septembers Colorful Christmas kit from Bubbly Funk available September 1st.
Last year I made HUGE mistakes with my Daily Diary.....
* I numbered the pages which I am NOT going to do this year as somedays nothing happens in December and why should I tie myself down and feel like I have failed when I haven't!!
* I am not going to treat each page like a layout it is a min-book after all!!
* I am going to not only prepare the book in advance but make all of the embellishments too
* I am going to organise my Xmas scrapping stuff so it's all in one box.
* I am going to keep this Fun..Fun..Fun...
My design is based on last years concept however I am making it horizontal, long and skinny just like the current trend for layouts. (The measurements are 6x10 inches.) Leaving only small strips of leftover paper to punch layer and decorate with...but thats cool beause I have a whole sheet of embellishments in my pack!!
I'm going to add Long Skinny White Envelopes and ATC holders just like last year and pockets will be sewn onto the pages with acetate......some with just a simple Christmas decoration inside them!!
The cover is acetate so that it creates an illusion of depth and draws the viewer in......I also have a few acetate layers inside too. Extra Bazzil pages can be added if needed...hey I'm cool and relaxed about it this year.....but first I'm off to get my hands on those Prima Journaling Stamps!!!
Join me HERE if you would like to play along and get yours ready too.

Halloween
Today I went out searching for Halloween papers...unfortunately they just aren't big sellers over here.............maybe it's just me but I really want to make some altered Halloween Projects to prettify my house up!!
I'm thinking My Minds Eye's latest or Cosmo Cricket.....
I'm dreaming of Banners and Baskets.........sigh.......
To cheer myself up I am admiring this Blythe Doll instead...isn't she just the cutest thing!!
Obviously I couldn't afford her but she is floating my boat so I'm off to bed to have sweet pumpkin dreams.........at least they still sell pumpkins here even if they are only for carving!!
Honestly the best thing about Halloween is that I get to buy pumpkins and roast them with my Sunday dinner.....no-one else gets it...so sad:( They don't know what they are missing out on!

French Chic Dt add-on kit
Hidden in my box with the August kit was a lovely surprise from Caroline...the blue mini-album add-on kit from Bubbly Funk.
Made by SEI in excellent quality chipboard and tough plastic protectors this little 6x6 book comes complete with paper doileys, Melissa Frances key holes and bags of style in the form of flowers and ribbon and all for a mere £7.50.
I used papers from my main kit to make the book, using the principle of Three Border Punches to create texture and lots of randomly cut strips of papers to layer.
An easy to use removal system for the sleeves is perfect for a small album like this.
Shrink plastic from the main kit came in handy when my journaling stamps were too big for the page!!
I used a favourite vintage button below........
I was inspired by the lovely Nathmael who often uses Blue and a very natural way of stamping with Brown Ink on her layouts and mini- books........click HERE to see more of her pretty work.
Love and ooh laa la

Lets get Shabby meets Hannah Montana
I know this is so last minute, but I have spent most of the month planning it however I just simply haven't had the time to make it....anyway here is my piece for the I love this wrinkly red gingham ribbon from Tillys.....the pink one I ruffled with less tape than ribbon. This Chandelier is from K&Co and if you press the button it gives a 20 second light display...kind of like her name in lights I thought! I added a touch of3D gold Perfect Pearls to the wicks. Other news.....we are in the newspaper today click HERE if you are family and are interested!! I couldn't find us on-line but here are the photos anyway!! I sent a letter to the paper saying what a fab job the soldiers did at the Hospital Carnival dealing with hoards of kids who were waiting for fake wounds and they printed my letter and 2 photos!! ........Hoe Down Instructions..... ...... Love Georgia xxx...... Ruth xxx
"Lets Get Shabby" monthly challenge which is to use GINGHAM & FLOWERS.....I think I met both criteria!!lol!
The weather has been glorious today ....unfortunately by 4.0'clock the sun was still bright and the shadow long and these photos are awful and don't do the frame any justice but I really needed to get these piccies on before the Aussie deadline...will re-photograph tomorrow..which I think is going to rain so probably not!!
This cute stamped heart was kindly sent to me this week from Teresa aka Catz. She gave me a whole bundle in all sorts of different colours and all hand coloured!! If you haven't already got Teresa on your daily read this then you must add her now..she is extremely talented.......and I am a very lucky bunny!!
My niece Aimee went to a Hannah Montana day and for those of you who haven't got small girls you will have no idea what "COUNTRIFY IT" means. It's a dance move!! (I had to look up the spelling on u-tube thats how un-cool I am!!) Although I do know some of the words and some of the moves but then also I have to listen to it 24/7.
I added oodles of Prima flowers.........just to meet the criteria......(yeah right..any excuse huh!!)
So here she is in her glory doing the hoe down and countryfying it!! As it's her birthday very soon I'm sure Mummy (Helena a serial crafter like me) won't show her this picture on the internet just yet!!
Love and line dancing

praying for peace for the poorly sleeping boy
My last page of the delicious Websters Pages paper and it is oh so pretty...so pretty in fact that I reserved it for BEN!!
He'd had a high temperature and was very poorly, I came home to find his Dad watching over him like an angel (ok like a protective father should be!). I couldn't resist taking a photo of him fast asleep on the lounge floor covered in his favourite blankie and my throw.
ps: Ingvild has an incredible giveaway on her blog celebrating 200,000 visitors!! Pop over HERE to pay her a compliment...it's all her fault this obsessive hobby you know!!

Boy oh Boy it's Friday
This week I have got that whole Ben thing out of my sytem in one go and dedicated a wee mini book to him!! These Dream Street and Elsie papers are perfect for this 6x8 book and the best bit about it is you can just stick in normal sized photos. I made this style album for the Daily Chrismas Diary last year and it works really well with good quality double sided papers.
I went to town with the old cardboard, gesso and cereal boxes again but for boys this grungy combo is perfect. Had I not been decorating it this mini book would have made a cool birthday present for one of my nephews.
Included in the kit are the chipboard alphas and the shrink plastic that I made the buttons with......handy huh!
I always use the off cut 6x4's for tags or pockets.....one cheeky photo of a butt naked Ben is hidden discretely in a pocket!! Can you spot it!!
