Still loving those PJ's!!

I absolutely love this photo of Georgia and Ben and couldn't wait to scrap it. It hasn't turned out as well as I expected and I'm not overly pleased with it but I'm pretty sure I'll scrap it again one day....maybe in black and white next time with a more vintage feel. So yes thats why I am still doing Xmas layouts!! If at first you don't suceed try, try and try again!! I guess that's one of the best things about scrapbooking you can just start again!!

Did you know that I bought Bens vest expecially to take a photograph like this! (thats the scrapper in me). I couldn't justify a cute christmas costume and none of them were very nice but I fell in love with the soft fluffy reindeer on this babygrow!

Chipboard alpha Making Memories-St Nick, Bazzil bling cardstock-green, red cardstock from Tillys-unbranded, Bazzil, Prima and other assorted flowers, Hot water bottle from a Xmas Card 2 years ago and the pretty paper doily from my MIL-I knew there was a reason we went for lunch the other day!!

Thanks for looking and hello to everyone who has joined my followers list. I'm looking forward to visiting your blogs now that I know who you are!!

Are you a follower or a lurker?

I started out secretly following lots of blogs when Blogger first introduced their new widget. Then it occured to me that I should be proud of the fact that I make the effort to visit these blogs and leave comments. So the other day I changed all of my anonymous links to public.

I have now taken the plunge and added my followers to my side bar all 5 of you!! hehe *blush*

I am going to do a blog giveaway next month. It is my birthday on the 5th of Febuary and I would love to have achieved 10,00 hits by then. I know its a big ask but you have to admit this blogging is fun and adddictive!!! So following in the footsteps of the famous Ingvild Bolme scrapbooker extraordinaire, who had a fabulous idea to do a giveaway to one of her followers. I hereby urge you to stop lurking and start making the blogging world a friendlier place!!

You never know you could be the winner of some blog candy................all will be revealed soon so watch this space!!

Have a great weekend Love Ruth

Sing Hosanna at the top of your voice!!

Georgia and I often Sing this song in the car as loud as we can and then when our voices break we end up in hysterics laughing at my dreadful singing!! The photograph was taken at St James Church "Carols by Candlelight Concert".

Bazzil Shapes, Jo Sonjas Cracklepaint on edges, Melissa Frances paper, Distress inks, Prima flowers, Bazzil flowers, Old music note sheet, Basic Grey chipboard and a laser cut Angel from Tescos. Gold leaves from Brendas floristry tin, Old lace, Linda's crochet circle, Laser cut photo corners and plain gold brads. Phew what a lot!!

The pearl necklace was a special but broken one given to me by Marks grandfather many years ago, I am pleased to use it this way thus keeping my memory of him alive!
Thanks for looking and leaving such lovely encouraging comments.

Pearls and Diamonds (they're as good as hugs and kisses)

7 Days of pure crafting heaven....

Well thats the intention anyway. The kids are back at school and I am off work for 7 days so I am going to get stuck in!!

I have my DDA to finish, Mums Calendar a box frame and some 12x12's. So if you see me slacking and surfing the net please feel free to poke me!!

Georgia thought she would get teased at school if she dressed as Mrs Claus but I tried to convince her she would look cool and to be her own person and not worry about other peoples opinions. On the day she was pleased she had because the older "cool" girls had worn the same outfit.

I found this beautiful rose ribbon braid in a local shop and as it was already beautifully worn and faded, just how I like it I got them to sell it to me at half price!! I wish we had a vv rouleaux shop nearby......touch......stroke...............sigh.....I used Cosmo Cricket Papers in my favourite colour combination yum yum.

DDA day 13 is late in coming as are the rest from that week onwards! My first day of sickness was the beginning of a slippery slope of bugs in our house during December. Georgia was so disappointed we had to cancel our visitors so I gave her this silver locket to cheer her up.

Right no more chatting I'm off to get on with the next project.
