Farewell Bubbly Scrumptious

One for the Boys....
He is nicely vintage looking and will be handed down the generations to hopefully become an antique of the future.
Did you spot the little flags that Georgia made......we are obviously supporting Sweden this year in the world cup...sometimes it pays to be nuetral.
I guess we need to brush up on our world flags in time for kick off!!

Dinosaur Boy
My finished layout looks a bit washed out but I think it was the bright sunshine yesterday....I was cursing it last night now I am wishing it would come back...please come back sunshine all is forgiven!!
I used some funky dinosaurs from a Maya Road keychain available at Bubbly Funk. I was going to stick a googly eye on the dinosaur but I couldn't find it, then Ben found one in the garden today...it's amazing just how far my stash has spread, it's even taking over the garden!!

Collecting Kitch
In our house at the moment everything is all about the Kitchen, Kitchness and Kitchenalia!! Basically we are going Kitch mad!! I have not been able to finish this weeks Bubbly Funk project due to the kitchen being re-plastered, however I have been inspired to continue shopping (not that thats hard for me) with my accents of colours for my new cream kitchen.
I got some pretty glasses from Next that are the same design as Cath Kidston only cheaper. (the red and blue ones)
A beautiful apron from TK Maxx for less than a fiver...seriously I couldn't make one for that price with all the detail and ric-rac on it. (you can't see it here but it has a very sexy and revealing neckline!!)
..... and the plasterer made a mess and still has to come back to do another wall as he forgot one!!
The ups and downs of decorating huh!!

On Friday I posted this little chippie birdcage over at Bubbly Scrumptious. I used some really pretty material instead of paper and was surprised at just how easily it stuck to the chipboard with a bit of fabric glue.

All overcome by a Colour Challenge
I think this is the first time I have ever used a colour challenge for inspiration but Caroline has such lovely photos on the Bubbly Scrumptious site that I couldn't resist.
Plus I had some blue gingam from last months kit that needed using up!! (I also wanted to show off my new blue polka dot tablecloth from B&Q and a matching mushroom thingy from Asda not quite Kath Kidston but a cheaper alternative!)
This weeks colour challenge is PINK........I hope I have some more spare time as I like a bit of pink now and then!!

No Peeking MUM!!!
My Mother is celebrating a very special birthday this month and I wanted to buy her something lovely for it.
I found these incredible Art Deco matching earings and necklace (costume jewellery) and then had the dilema of how should I post them to get to New Zealand safely.
I couldn't just pop them in a jiffy bag or wrap them in paper so I decided to cover an old Christmas card box and turn it into a box come card, come necklace holder!! I extremely reluctantly cut into my Graphic 45 papers from Toni, but I figured that Mum deserves a beautiful box more than I need to stroke my papers!! The flower is made with the candle technique and Organza and I fixed them with a vintage pin from a car boot sale.
You can see the rest of it at Bubbly Scrumptious...unless your name is Sylvia and it's your birthday soon!!
Made with love...

Bubbly Board book..only half blessed!!
My personalised word book from Bubbly Funk is coming along lovely........
......OK so it's only half finished but it's been one of those weeks!! (Thats the last time I work an extra shift at work it seriously cuts into my crafting time!!)
I love the way the first couple of photos are peeking through the letters.
I think this is going to be one bulky board book by the time it's completed. I may have to join the pages together with elastic to help the ever expanding waistline...lol!!
You can see my handy tips over at Bubbly Scrumptious HERE.
Love and ever expanding waistlines

Studio Calico House-The Walls!
Thanks to everyone who commented on my last post it was fun to read your ideas.
I took some photos of my collection of Red and Cream vintage tins and then changed my mind about using them as I had a better idea for them...something along the lines of cream and red hearts.
In the end I went with a watered down Andy Warhol Pop Art type look. OK so I'm not very good at altering photos and using such a basic programme doesn't help but I still ended up with four different ones......not entirely too sure about the green martian faces though!!
For me this was very much out of my box working with the colours from the kit, and as much as I had tried to make it quite nuetral on the outside and keep the insides in one colour palette it just didn't work and I had to release my inner rainbow.
I used the number Four as my theme for the title and carried it through the walls, with four numbers, four flowers, four photos and the repetition of all four colours on each wall.
I finally used my Papermania Vintage Furnishings stamps...these were the ones that caused so much trouble whilst I was queing to pay for them. Ben had splattered a pot of glitter glue on the floor in the craft shop and the customers were complaining about the screaming kid outside. If they hadn't taken so long to serve me then this wouldn't have happened!! (It was a chain store not like my lovely LSS's they would never be so uptight!!)
They are too cool for words and such fab value for money! I am hoping to use them on my next Lets get Shabby project. Which reminds me have you finished your sweet love notes entry yet?Love and four strong walls make a strong family

Just enough time for a quickie before the next round of Doctors visits...yup if it's not one thing it's another and usually with Me, Mark or Ben...Georgia is blessed to never have anything wrong with her except for last week when the Quack said she had tonsilitis and she sooooo did NOT!! Trust me that girl could talk and eat for England!!
So I now have DH home on crutches..not caused by a sporting injury but it is exactly the same as premier league players get except they don't play spinning games in the lounge with their 2 year olds and snap a tendon in their legs!!
I haven't had time to take some better photos but thought I'd better share my house before I decorate the insides of it. The pattern is Karolas and can be found on Webster Pages HERE. I used the cool Studio Calico Home Front kit from Bubbly Funk.
Love and wacky wallpaper
