A PROUD BIG SISTER!!

I just love this photo of Georgia and Ben when he was only a few days old!
I love the crown on her head and the smile on her face that speaks a thousand words. She must be so sick of people asking her if she likes her baby brother but every time this cute little shy smile comes over her and she nods her head because she is suddenly lost for words!! Which if you knew my daughter this would crack you up because she never stops talking!!

I used my Rhonna Farrer Autumn Leaves Stamps on this LO and an Archival Brown Ink pad.I added some pearls to the centres of the flowers and tied a little brass heart onto the ribbon. The chipboard letters are Paper Mania and the papers are a new range in Paperparadise (my lss) from Australia called Kaisercraft.

Once again my photography has let a lovely LO down, I must get it sorted!!

Baby Bling

This is a photo left over from Georgias first photo shoot when she was about 8/9 months. The papers were super cheap from the market stall in town. Loads of stickles on the flowers, petals brads etc. Love the BG rub-ons. I like the bigger ones but my packet only has 2. I have used nearly all of my flower stash!! Donations kindly accepted!!!LOL
I am sick of this rain and wind because my photos look rubbish when taken inside, but the detail one is hopefully a bit clearer.

DECO DECANTED

Mum and Dad are involved in these ART DECO Celebrations every year, and about 5 years ago they started having a winter one as well. The weekend is called Deco Decanted as it is a smaller version on the summer one.

I think the hat mum is wearing belonged to my Great Grandmother. Dad likes to wear authentic clothing as well, but it's getting harder to find because prices are going sky high due to collecters.

This is my fourth page and I am trying to get them all finished, it makes sense to carry on because I have all of the papers and embellies spread out in the kitchen!!
I stickled the flowers and flourishes to add bling and also chalk inked the letters to get them to match (some were pink, brown and blue!)I stickled the letters but later regretted it because they look purple and green due to the glitter. Oh well you live and learn...I should've done a test piece!!

I have had my CIRCA 1920 page published on the BASIC GREY website in GALLERY which is a first for me but on the other hand I have had the other pages and my BEN book rejected! Guess you can't win them all!!

Posh Plimmies

Georgia has wide feet and really wanted the same plimmies as everyone else (hers have straps and the others are slip ons).
I have been trying to explain that she doesn't have to be the same as everyone else and that it's ok to be different!! So just to be a bit naughty I blinged them, I have been tempted to do this to some UGGS but haven't bought her any yet and mine are too old and smelly, so I practised with these. I may yet get called into the headmistresses office!! OOPS

Mum as a Page 3 Girl! (ooohh laa laa)

Ok so it's not that kind of page 3 but I am quite pleased with my progress so far. This page is more simple but no matter how I tried to complicate it, it just wouldn't work.
Once again these Basic Grey Blush papers have come up trumps with colour matching!!
PS-I have had my work published on the BASIC GREY GALLERY which for me is pretty cool because the only people who see my work normally are you guys and I don't enter competitions (yet!!).

Page 2 Mums Deco Dresses

I created the scalloped circle from an insert page and folded it into quarters then scalloped the edges. Paperparadise will soon be selling the range of paper shapes that look like this. I can't wait to get the heart shape!
To make the flourish I put baking paper over the page so I could see through it to get the flourishes in the right place then drew them freehand and cut them out.
Very hard to take photos at the moment as the wind keeps threatening to blow my pages away!!!

Mums Dresses

As you can see by my recent post Mum has a whole lotta ART DECO dresses. Every year Dad e-mails me another photo and I have quite a collection. I bought the whole pack of Basic Grey "BLUSH" papers so that I could start an album with them and here is the result of the first page.
I glittered the cut out flowers and leaves to add a bit of bling to the page.

A smile a day.....

Messing about with the camera to create an avatar and this is the outcome!

When your big sister is older than you....

....she can easily pick you up and hold you so that your faces come together for a great photo. I love the way these two look so at ease with each other neither one dominates the other in this picture.

Chloe and Aimee are my nieces and I haven't done a LO of Chloe before so it is nice to get one finished. I enjoyed making this LO and grunging it all over.

Happy Mothers Day Mum xxx

I don't know when Mothers Day is in NZ, so I thought I'd post this page as a tribute instead of sending a card.

I finished it on Friday and I am so pleased I photographed it outside before the heavens opened!! The sketch can be found at http://www.cis-stylishsketches.blogspot.com/

It's only a simple page to go into my heritage album and to use up an array of small photos of Mum. I have made a second page with the leftover photos but I'm not happy with it, although I will still put it in the album for future generations (just not for public viewing!!).

The Cowboy and the Callgirl

My ATC for this months swap at Paperparadise is called Love Story for obvious reasons, I stamped each image on a seperate piece of acetate and painted the reverse side. I scratched the paint once dry and applied the cream colour to show through the scratches. I then used a Cowboy font and a 1920's Odeon style for the title and sandwiched it all between another layer of acetate.
